Programmable Photopolymerization Parts On Demand
P3™ stands for Programmable Photopolymerization which is a vat polymerization process utilizing the next evolution of digital light processing (DLP) technology by Origin®.
High throughput, combined with best-in-class repeatability produces functional end-use parts, helping you expand production without delays so you can launch faster and respond flexibly to shifts in demand.
As the next stage of digital light processing, P3™ powers the Origin One using a tightly synchronized print process which uses pneumatic controls to minimize pull forces during the print process.
This results in parts with exceptional surface quality, without sacrificing speed or isotropy. Leveraging an advanced 4K light engine, P3™ produces one of the highest 3D printed part quality and throughput the industry has seen.
With Origin P3™, Stratasys Direct is capable of producing end-use parts with features and surface quality comparable to CNC machining and injection molding, while taking advantage of additive manufacturing’s design capabilities and high performance materials.
This technology helps companies accelerate the introduction of additive into their production process.
Stratasys Direct has proven expertise in pushing the boundaries of what is possible to achieve in additive manufacturing production.
We have been at the forefront of photopolymerization technologies, becoming the leading experts in the field as we have been using and improving these technologies for over 3 decades.
As part of the Stratasys family we have unique access and insight into the Origin P3™ technology to tap into its true capabilities and push it to its limits, bringing in a new era of additive production end-use parts
We work with entrepreneurs needing simple one-off prototypes and Fortune 500 companies requiring full scale production quantities for industries like aerospace, automotive, medical; Often requiring site certifications, engineering & process review, full in-house inspection. Whatever level you need, we can execute.
Iterate faster with 3D Printing. Ensure your prototype is functional and meets your needs with the right technology and material to validate its function.
Origin's unique access to flexible but strong photopolymer materials and 3D printing capabilities make this an ideal technology for automotive and consumer applications such as these

Although both technologies rely on photoreactive chemistry to cure liquid resin into a final part, Origin P3™ has the advantage that it leverages a single 4K light engine to cure the resin rather than a single point laser like Stereolithography resulting in a faster print time.
The recommended maximum part size is 7.5” x 4.25” x 12”.
The minimum features size recommended by Stratasys Direct is 0.020" inches.
