With so many different 3D printing dental materials available, it can be hard to keep track of and understand the use cases for each one. What are the advantages of mixed materials and mixed trays compared to a specialized, single-material print functionality?

Biocompatible Dental Materials

Along with the full color Vero package of materials, the J5 DentaJet offers three unique biocompatible materials that are intended for temporary in-mouth placement.

Material

Material Properties

Ideal For

Med610

Biocompatible transparent

Surgical guides and RPD frameworks casting patterns

Med620

Biocompatible opaque white material designed to provide the best color match in the industry

All dental model applications, as well as try-ins and custom trays

Med625

Biocompatible Flexible

Gingiva masks and orthodontic indirect bonding trays

Mixed Tray Printing

One advantage of the J5 DentaJet is that users can print several of these biocompatible materials on the same tray, mixing different applications on the same print. You don’t need to schedule different trays to different printers or change materials, and you don’t need to worry about balancing load between different applications. Whatever part you receive, the printer has a suitable material for it.
