I saw one of these 3D printed gear cubes on my neighbor's desk and just had to have one! First off, for those of you who are newcomers to 3D printing, this little device was 'grown' in a single production step and came out of an Objet 3D printer basically as you see it, with no need to assemble the different gears together.

It's also another great example of the amazing Objet VeroClear transparent material which is both transparent and functionally practical in moving applications such as this.

The material is also very aesthetically versatile - depending on what you do with it. This horse for example is printed with a gloss finish. With both these babies on my desk I'm now the most popular person at Objet HQ!
