Functional Testing of
Stratasys Soluble Cores

Review test results on soluble polymer structures used in composite molding.

The use of soluble polymer structures in composite construction is particularly useful for sacrificial mandrels and cores used to form hollow structures. This white paper details the testing processes, conditions and findings for Stratasys materials used for this purpose.

More specifically, you'll find test results for mandrels made from three types of soluble material. These tests include:

  • Elevated temperature using a vacuum bag
  • Elevated temperature with autoclave
  • Mandrel performance on production quality
