Summary:  Responsible for overall operations for the RedEye business unit, supervising employees, leadership in production of daily work processes, quality management and the operations development of new processes and procedures. Also responsible for managing and controlling cost of goods and operating expenses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
• Drive production volume by proactively managing the day to day operations of RedEye to achieve cost of goods and general production expense targets.
• Develop operations standards and work instructions.
• Manage file processing, plant, and shipping personnel.
• Manage operations cost of goods, expense and labor budgets to established guidelines and budgets.
• Provide exceptional leadership for the staff members of the operations group of RedEye.
• Generate improved methods of production to reduce costs, increase throughput, improve turnaround time from order acceptance to shipping and increase machine utilization rates.
• Create an effective operations organization with appropriate tracking and reporting of metrics (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly). Report production performance and provide regular forecast of critical business metrics.
• Assist in pre-sale account servicing as may be requested by the sales team, including technical questions, sales samples and general account support.
• Provide good communications and guidance to Stratasys management on all matters that will maximize this business; and recommend strategies to expand the business and improve the operations departmental functions.
• Offer expertise in RP and RM technologies, assisting with solutions and acting as an internal resource to RedEye and Stratasys employees.
• Facilitate understanding and promote a harmonious work environment.
• Conduct regularly scheduled operations meetings to keep employees informed and set/maintain production standards.
• Assist in development and execution of operations activities for all RedEye departments and channels.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans for managing the overall operations group.
• Work in a team environment on usual work tasks and within special teams as assigned by management.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 5+ years experience in operations or production environment in a supervisory or management role.
• 5+ years of experience managing manufacturing activities in a job shop or contract manufacturing environment.
• Experience with additive manufacturing technologies desirable.
• Demonstrated project management skills and possessing a strong objective-orientation in driving results.
• Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement principles (lean, 5s, etc.).
• Experience with ISO standards and ISO implementation a plus.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent team player traits.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office applications as well as other programs as may be required to properly conduct this position.
